In September there will be another Summer School with its focus on digitalization of the rail industry. This year a visit to Brussels, The Netherlands and Germany is part of the program and lectures about risk management, security, interlocking, ERTMS all in relation to the challenges inherent to digitalization.

Curious?

You Are:

  • A motivated newcomer with 1 to 4 years experience in digital rail
  • Graduated MSc or relevant BSc and having an appropriate level of (business) English (B2)
  • Willing to learn more about digitalization of the railway industry
  • Want to build up a network of peer colleagues in Europe

We offer:

Summer School 2024 Preliminary Programme

Sep. 15th – Arrival at Brussels (B) and check in at the hotel (B)

Sep. 16th – 17th – Visit and presentations EUG, CER, DG MOVE

Sep. 17th – Evening travel by train o Amersfoort (NL) and check in at the hotel

Sep. 18th – 20th – Lectures given by professors / teachers from  the University of Twente, Technical University Eindhoven, Delft University of Technology. Hosted by Railcenter

Sep. 19th – Evening BBQ and meet and greet with top managers/decision makers from the Dutch railway industry

Sep. 21st – 22nd – Travel by train to Erfurt (D) and check in at the hotel

Sep. 23rd – 27th – Lectures/workshops hosted by Erfurt University professors/teachers and evening program to be decided

Sep. 25th – Visit InnoTrans in Berlin (D) travel by train

Sep. 27th  – Morning – Wrap up, evaluation and finishing with lunch (end of programme)

Costs

  • Total costs € 2000,- for training and technical visits + € 3000,- for accomodation, catering and travel
  • Early bird discount 50% off (€ 2.500,-) granted until July 1st. Registration date counts. Payment details will be announced soon.

Not included:

  • Travel from country of origin to Brussels
  • Travel from Erfurt to country of origin
  • Dinners outside of the official program
